Millions of school children with dyslexia endure frustration and demoralization on a daily basis as they struggle to acquire skills that many of us take for granted. If your child is struggling with reading and writing, how do you know if dyslexia is the cause? Where can you go for help?

For over two decades, the Scottish Rite Masons, Northern Masonic Jurisdiction, have been national leaders in the effort to help children and their families overcome the painful obstacles of dyslexia. With more than 42 active Dyslexia Centers in 13 states, the Children’s Dyslexia Centers tackle the challenge of dyslexia head-on, both by providing free tutoring for children with dyslexia and by training a growing cadre of highly skilled and dedicated tutors.

Since opening its doors in 2002, the Children’s Dyslexia Center of Lancaster has helped remediate reading and written language skills of over 200 children, and trained nearly 50 tutors. Housed inside the Masonic Center of Lancaster County, the Children’s Dyslexia Center of Lancaster operates as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and tutors children on a first-come first-serve basis regardless of race, ethnicity, economic status, gender, or religious affiliation.

This website uses a special font called Dyslexie. It was designed and created for dyslexic people by a dyslexic graphic designer named Christian Boer. The video below explains how people with dyslexia view letters and how Dyslexie is uniquely designed to improve readability for dyslexics.
